New Maruti Ertiga 2018 Details

Featuring beige themed interior, the India-spec 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga shares cabin features and design from the current Dzire

Maruti Suzuki will launch the long-awaited new-generation Ertiga MPV on November 21, 2018. Official bookings for the MPV have already been commenced at a token amount of Rs 11,000. Dealer dispatch of the new model has also been started. Ahead of the launch, interior images of the MPV have been leaked on the internet. The new MPV will continue to be sold via Maruti’s Arena dealership network and not Nexa.

The India-spec Maruti Ertiga continues to offer beige themed interior. The cabin seems heavily inspired from the new Dzire sedan. Features like front seats, steering wheel and dashboard are directly lifted from the Dzire. It comes equipped with a free-standing SmarPlay infotainment system, which is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The new model will only be offered in eight-seat configuration.

The top-spec model will also receive climate control, dedicated USB and 12V ports for the front row. It continues to offer roof-mounted blower for the second and third row of seats. Additionally, 12V power socket is also available for the second row occupants. The high-end variants of the MPV will also receive multi-functional steering wheel and push-button start. The new Maruti Ertiga is powered by a new 1.5-litre petrol engine with SHVS mild-hybrid system and a dual-battery setup. This engine is capable of producing 105bhp of power and 138Nm of torque. The oil burner is the same 1.3-litre DDiS unit that produces 89bhp and 200Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will come as standard, while a 4-speed torque convertor will be offered in petrol version only.
