Maruti Suzuki’s popular mid-size sedan – Ciaz is all set to witness a mid-life update on 20th August, 2018. Ahead of its launch, some NEXA dealers have begun taking pre-bookings for the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift. In fact, the variants and feature details of the sedan have been surfaced on the web. Similar to the current model, the facelifted Ciaz lineup will come in four trims – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha.
Features such as infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, dual front airbags, ABS (antilock braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), ESC (electronic stability control) and hill start assist are standard across the carline. Buyers will get the Zeta trim with LED projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and LED foglamps with chrome garnish. The range-topping Alpha variant comes equipped with the diamond cut 16-inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift will get a new 1.5-litre K15B VVT petrol engine with SHVS mild hybrid technology. This motor will dish out a maximum power of 103bhp and 138Nm of torque, thus making it 12bhp more powerful and 8Nm torquier than the current petrol engine. Transmission on offer will include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic.

With these figures, the new Ciaz will also become the most fuel efficient petrol sedan in the country. The existing 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine will be carried over from the pre-facelift model. The new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift makes 89bhp and 200Nm of torque with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
