Maruti Suzuki’s popular mid-size sedan – Ciaz – will soon receive its first facelift in the Indian market. According to a fresh report, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz facelift will see a release on 6th August and deliveries are likely to begin from August 10, 2018. However, there is no official word yet from Maruti Suzuki about the car’s launch.
The refreshed version of the sedan will carry multiple design and feature changes. It will also receive a new 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine replacing the existing 1.4-litre K14B unit. The new gasoline powertrain will also be used in the new-generation Ertiga MPV and the new Suzuki Jimny. With better power output, the 2018 Ciaz petrol will give tough competition to Honda City and Hyundai Verna.

Rumor also has it that the 2018 Maurti Suzuki Ciaz facelift might get mild hybrid technology with petrol engine. This will help the sedan deliver better fuel efficiency. The Fiat-sourced oil burner will be replaced by Suzuki’s new 1.5-litre diesel motor at a later stage. The latter will be compliant to the BSVI (Bharat Stage 6) emission norms that will be enforced in 2020. Official engine details and figures will be revealed near its launch. Some of its key updates will include revised front and rear bumpers, headlamps and taillamps additional LED elements, new alloy wheels, new wooden insert on the dashboard and door trims and cruise control. In order to clear the existing stock of the pre-facelift Ciaz, the dealers are offering attractive discounts on the vehicle. One can avail benefits of a cash discount of Rs 40,000, a corporate discount of Rs 10,000, and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 70,000.
