Bookings of the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift have already been commenced across all Nexa dealerships.

Dropping a new video teaser, the Indo-Japanese carmaker reveals some new features of the 2018 Maruti Ciaz facelift. The latest teaser shows the updated headlamp design of the car that appears sharper than before. The sedan also gets Audi-inspired LED daytime running lights (DRLs). We also get a glimpse of the vehicle’s new honeycomb chrome grille, machine cut alloy wheels and new LED taillamps.

Bookings of the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 facelift have already been commenced across all Nexa dealerships. One can pre-book the sedan either by pay an initial sum of Rs 11,000 at any Nexa dealersip or via its official website.

Under the hood, the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 will feature a new and more powerful 1.5-litre, four-cylinder K15B VVT petrol engine that’s good enough for 103bhp and 138Nm of torque. For the first time, Maruti Suzuki will introduce the SHVS mild hybrid technology with the petrol powertrain. This will make the new Ciaz more frugal than the outgoing model.

If reports are to be believed, the new Maruti Ciaz 2018 will deliver fuel economy of 21.56kmpl with manual gearbox and 20.28kmpl with an automatic transmission. These figures will also make it India’s most fuel efficient sedan. The 2018 model year of the sedan will retain the existing Fiat-sourced 1.3-litre, four-cylinder DDiS diesel engine generation 89bhp with 200Nm of torque.
