Maruti Suzuki has officially started taking pre-bookings for the 2018 Ciaz facelift at all NEXA dealerships across India. Interested buyers can pre-book the sedan via NEXA dealerships or online through Nexapremium website by paying an initial amount of Rs 11,000. The premium mid-sized saloon will officially go on sale on August 20, 2018. With new Ciaz, Maruti Suzuki aims to further strengthen its position in the mid-sized sedan segment. It will come with cosmetic upgrades to the outside and better equipped cabin, along with more fuel efficient powertrain.
The new Ciaz facelift will receive multiple changes on the outside, including new grille with chrome enhancement, revised LED projector headlamps with daytime running lights, new LED rear combination lamp and new Machined alloy wheels. If reports are to be believed, high-end features like infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and Hill start assist will come as standard. Under the bonnet is a new 1.5-litre K15B VVT petrol engine with SHVS mild hybrid technology. This engine produces 103bhp of power and 138Nm of torque, making it 12bhp more powerful and 8Nm torquier than the current engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque convertor automatic. While the manual version delivers 21.56kmpl, the automatic unit will return 20.28kmpl.
