Automobili Lamborghini recently unveiled the Aventador S Roadster at the 2017 IAA in Frankfurt. The Italian luxury carmaker has also announced the India price of the supercar. Positioned as the range-topper, the 2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster is being offered at Rs 5.32 crore (ex-showroom). Official bookings for the open top car have begun across the country. Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said, “The new Aventador S Roadster sets new benchmarks in technology and performance on both road and track, with the roadster version adding a new dimension in driving enjoyment.”
“The Aventador S Roadster offers the thrill of open air driving without compromising on driving dynamics or the occupants’ comfort, and adds a further luxurious dimension through the personalization options available”, he added further.

Power for the supercar comes from the naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 engine matched to a 7-speed automatic gearbox. This unit puts out power worth 740bhp at 8,400rpm and 690Nm of torque at 5,500rpm. It has AWD (all-wheel-drive) system. Lamborghini claims that it can mark 0-100kmph in 3 seconds and offer a top speed of 350kmph. The car comes with four driving modes – STRADA, SPORT, CORSA and EGO.

2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster Exterior & Interior
Painted in Blue Aegir shade, the Aventador S Roadster shares most of its design bits with its coupe sibling. Though, Lamborghini has revised its exterior styling for improving downforce. The front downforce is claimed to be increased by 130%, thanks to its revised front bumper with new integrated splitter, active rear wing and re-designed rear diffuser.
The well-positioned wing enables roadster achieves over 50% more efficiency at high downforce and in low drag more than 400%. With an aim to keep a check on its weight, the company has used lots of carbon fibre and the new Aventador S Roadster weighs only 50kgs heavier than its coupe sibling. The supercar runs on Pirelli P Zero tyres.
The new Aventador S Roadster comes with five interior configurations featuring leather and Alcantara in single and dual-tone combinations with several trim and stitching options. One can also customise the TFT digital dashboard that supports Apple CarPlay. The car also gets a new four-wheel steering.
