With heavy localisation, the Japanese brand has managed to reduce the prices of the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 motorcycle by Rs 62,000.

Japanese two-wheeler maker, Kawasaki has introduced a heavily localised 2018 Ninja 300 in the country. This entry-level motorcycle is now priced at Rs 2.98 lakh (ex-showroom, India), which undercuts the prices of recently launched BMW G310R and BMW G310 GS. This is the most affordable Kawasaki motorcycle currently on sale in India. Adding to it, Kawasaki is also offering a three-year/unlimited kilometer warranty for free to customers who are pre-booking this motorcycle.

The Ninja 400 will continue to come as a CKD kit from Thailand. For Ninja 300, Kawasaki has reached out to domestic vendors to increase the localisation of components. Previously, the Kawasaki Ninja was priced at Rs 3.6 lakh (ex-showroom, India). With heavy localisation, the Japanese brand has managed to reduce the prices of this motorcycle by Rs 62,000. Now, the KTM RC 390, priced at Rs 2.39 lakh, is the only bike in the segment which is cheaper than the Ninja 300. It also undercuts the prices of Yamaha R3, which is priced at Rs 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 Price

The 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by the same 296cc parallel-twin engine that churns out 39bhp of power and 27Nm of torque. This engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox and it also gets a slipper clutch as standard. Based on a tubular steel frame, the new Ninja 300 has a kerb weight of 179kg. The motorcycle has a fuel tank capacity of 17-litres and it rides on 17-inch wheels shod with MRF-branded 110/70 and 140/70 section tyres at the front and rear respectively. Suspension mechanism of the bike comprises of a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are carried out by a 290mm single disc up front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle also gets dual-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard. Adding to it, the bike gets new colours and graphics.
