The much-awaited new-gen Hyundai Santro will officially go on sale in India on 23rd of October, 2018. Online bookings for the hatchback have already been started at a token amount of Rs 11,000. Hyundai has also started dispatching the new model to dealerships across India. Here are the latest images of the new Santro in Blue paint scheme from one of the dealerships stockyard.
The new Santro looks quite appealing in this new Blue colour. It will be available in six paint schemes – Star Dust, Marina Blue, Fiery Red, Typhoon Silver, Polar White, Imperial Beige and Diana Green. The spotted model is the top-spec Asta trim, which is equipped with several range-topping features including rear air-conditioning vents, 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, multi-functional steering wheel, reverse camera and an AMT unit with electric actuators. Moreover, the new Santro will pack with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, speed alert and seat belt reminders as standard safety features. Media reports claim that the new Santro prices will start from Rs 3.87 lakh and goes up to Rs 4.2 lakh, making it cheaper than the Maruti Celerio & Wagon R. The new Hyundai Santro is powered by a 1.1-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that is capable of producing 68bhp and 99Nm. It is claimed to return 20.3kmpl. The vehicle will also get factory-fitted CNG option, which will offer 57bhp of power and 77Nm of torque. It will be manufactured at Hyundai’s production plant in Chennai.
