The new-generation Hyundai Santro is, currently, in its final testing phase and has been caught on camera multiple times. This time around interior of the hatchback has been revealed in new spy pictures. The spy shots reveal slightly revised dashboard and centre console with amber coloured illumination and basic buttons layout. The speedometer is integrated in the centre, while the MID and tachometer are positioned on the right hand and left hand side respectively. The new Hyundai Santro 2018 also gets headrests for the front seats’ passengers and a bench at the rear. The new Hyundai Santro 2018 will offer front power windows. It might also come with the dash-mounted gearshift lever as we have seen on the Grand i10. If media reports are to be believed, the South Korean carmaker might offer a touchscreen infotainment system on the base model of the new Hyundai Santro 2018 to rival the Renault Kwid.

Under the hood, the new Hyundai Santro 2018 might house a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine paired to a manual gearbox. As of now, the power and torque figures are unknown to us. The hatchback will also be introduced with an optional AMT (automated manual transmission), which is reported to be named ‘Smart Auto’. The new AMT gearbox will be developed by Hyundai’s in-house team.
