2018 Honda Jazz facelift is reported to go on sale in India this month. However, Honda Cars India is still tight lipped about the launch date and details of the hatchback. No matter the launch will happen this month or later, the variant-wise details of the updated Jazz have been leaked on the web. A picture of the hatchback’s new taillight cluster has also emerged online.
As per the leaked information, Honda has scrapped the entry-level E and mid-level SV grades from the Jazz carline. The 2018 Honda Jazz facelift will come in three trims – S, V and VX. Both petrol (90PS, 1.2 L i-VTEC) and diesel (100PS, 1.5 L i-DTEC) engines with a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox options will be available on the updated model. Interestingly, the entry-level S trim will be made available with diesel powertrain only. While the V and VX petrol trims will come with both manual and CVT gearboxes, the S, V and VX diesel variants will be devoid of CVT option. Read – Upcoming Honda Cars In India
Features such as a 17.7cm infotainment system with capacitive touchscreen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice command, steering mounted steering mounted voice controls, IR remote control, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, seat back pocket and the signature rear LED extended taillamps are exclusive offered on the range-topping VX grade. The entry-level S trim comes loaded with the front centre armrest, rear parking sensors, speed sensing auto door lock, driver and assistant side vanity mirror. Honda equips the diesel-powered CVT ‘V’ grade with Honda Smart Key System with keyless remote, smart trunk lock with keyless release and one touch push start/stop button with white and red illumination. The 2018 Honda Jazz facelift will get two new colour schemes – Lunar Silver and Radiant Red. Both shades are also available on the new Amaze. The hatchback will also continue three shades – Orchid White, Golden Brown and Modern Steel.
