2018 Honda CR-V All Details Revealed

The new 2018 Honda CR-V comes with both 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol and 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine options.

The fifth-generation Honda CR-V will go on sale in India on October 9, 2018. Prior to its official launch, the automaker has revealed all its engine and feature details. The new Honda CR-V 2018 will be made available with both petrol and diesel engines with a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) and a 9-speed automatic transmission respectively.

Interesting, the diesel variants of the CRV will come with both 2WD (two-wheel-drive) and 4WD (four-wheel-drive) system. The petrol version will be available with 2WD drivetrain only. The SUV’s 2.0-litre i-VTEC petrol motor pushes out a maximum power of 151.8bhp (154PS) at 6,500rpm and 189Nm of torque at 4,300rpm. Powering the diesel variants is a 1.6-litre i-DTEC unit producing a top power of 118.3bhp (120PS) at 4,000rpm and a peak torque of 300Nm at 2,000rpm. The Japanese carmaker claims that the petrol version of the new Honda CRV 2018 delivers an ARAI-certified mileage of 14.4kmpl. The diesel model, on the other hand, returns fuel economy of 19.5kmpl (2WD) and 18.3kmpl (4WD). For braking duties, the SUV gets front and rear disc brakes. The new Honda CRV 2018 has been assembled with 18-inch alloy wheels with 235/60 R18 front and rear tyres. Dimensionally, the SUV measures 4,592mm in length, 1,855mm in width and 1,689mm height with a wheelbase of 2660mm. The new Honda CRV 2018 petrol has a boot capacity of 522-litres and 1,084-litres with 2nd row fold. The SUV also comes with an optional 7-seat layout, and offers a cargo space of 150-litre, 472-litre with 3rd row fold and 936-litre with 2nd and 3rd row fold. Its fuel tank capacity stands at 57-litres. Some of its key features include a , 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, power driver’s seat, a power panoramic sunroof and electric parking brake.
