Homegrown two-wheeler automaker, Hero MotoCorp has finally revealed the prices of the long-awaited Hero Xtreme 200R. With this naked sports bike, Hero has finally mark its re-entry in the 200cc bike segment. The company has updated prices of the motorcycles on its official page. At the moment, the company has revealed the prices of the North-Eastern states. The bike now costs Rs 88,000 (ex-showroom).
Just to jog your memory, the Hero Xtreme 200 was first showcased in concept form at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The company had unveiled the production-ready version in January 2018, where Hero shared all relevant specs and features. At Rs 88,000, the Hero Xtreme 200R is the most affordable 200cc motorcycle in the country. The motorcycle directly rivals the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 priced between Rs 1.03 lakh and 1.17 lakh, and Rs 1.04 lakh and Rs 1.16 lakh, respectively.

With this motorcycle, Hero MotoCorp is aiming at premium 160 and 180cc segment. Hero has already started delivering this motorcycle to dealerships; however, formal launch of this 200cc bike is yet to be announced. Powering the Hero Xtreme 200R is a 200cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled BS-IV compliant engine. This motor churns out a maximum power output of 18.4bhp at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 17.1Nm at 6,500rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is claimed to return an impressive mileage of 40kmpl. It is claimed to achieve 0-60kmph in 4.6 seconds before hitting a top speed of 112kmph.
The Hero Xtreme 200R rides on multi-spoke 17-inch wheels with 100/80 – 17 TL front and 130/70 – 17 TL rear tyres. The motorcycle is available in 5 exterior paint jobs – Panther Black with Cool Silver, Charcoal Grey with Orange, Panther BLack with Red, Charcoal Grey with Techno Blue and Sports Red. Built on a diamond frame chassis, the Hero Xtreme 200R comes with 276mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes. It also gets single channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) as standard. Suspension mechanism comprises of 37mm telescopic forks at the front and an 8-step pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear.
