Hero MotoCorp had showcased the XPulse 200cc on-off road motorcycle in the country this year. It will be India’s most affordable adventure motorcycle, and will come as a replacement for the Impulse 150. Studio images of the motorcycle have been leaked on the Facebook, revealing some of the design details.
The Hero XPulse is powered by a 200cc four-stroke engine. This air-cooled, fuel-injected engine gets a single overhead camshaft driving two valves. It is capable of producing a maximum power output of 18bhp and a peak torque of 17Nm. This motorcycle is designed and developed in-house by Hero MotoCorp’s research and development centre in Jaipur. This new four-stroke engine also powers the long-awaited Xtreme 200. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 5-speed gearbox. Likely to weigh around 140 kilos, the new motorcycle is expected to offer excellent on-and off-road abilities.

The XPulse 200 comes with long travel suspension at the front and rear. While the front end features a large 21-inch tyre with 190mm travel forms, the rear gets 19-inch wheels and monochock unit with 180mm travel.
For braking system, the Hero XPulse 200 gets disc brakes at both end along with a single-channel ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System). The motorcycle will sport spoked wheels shod with tube tyres. The tubeless tyres will increase the prices of the motorcycle. Read – Hero Xtreme 200R Price Revealed
The motorcycle comes with a large ground clearance of 220mm, which is more than sufficient to tackle bad road conditions. This motorcycle will also get bash plate underneath. Other design highlights include an LED headlamp, protective wind-shield and knuckle guards.
Hero MotoCorp has confirmed that the XPulse 200 would be priced under Rs 1 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. This will make it the most affordable adventure motorcycle in India. The motorcycle will officially go on sale in India later this year.
