Expanding its popular Vento sedan lineupVolkswagen has introduced the new top-ranging Highline Plus variant in India. Priced at Rs 10.84 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the 2017 Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus receives a few aesthetic upgrades enhancing its premium appeal.

While the 2017 Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus 1.6L petrol (MT) variant is priced at Rs 10.84 lakh, the top 1.5 TDI DSG (AT) diesel model costs Rs 13.43 lakh (all, ex-showroom Mumbai). On the exterior, the 2017 Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus features full -LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, a new pair of Zirkonia alloy wheels, OVRM turn indicators and 3D effect tail lamps. The car also receives rear parking camera. Though, the saloon retains the original design and silhouette.

Interior, too, has been packed with a bunch of new features. The 2017 model year gets automatic rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, a multi-function steering wheel, rear air-conditioning vents and cooled glove box. Under the hood, the 2017 Volkswagen Vento Highline Plus features the same turbocharged powertrains – 1.2-litre TSI, 4-cylinder petrol, 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder diesel and 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder MPI petrol. While the 1.6L MPI and 1.5L TDI motors are coupled to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the TSI (standard) and TDI (optional) variants get a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
