2017 Porsche 718 Cayman & Boxster Launched in India

New 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster are priced Rs 81.63 lakh and 85.53 lakh (ex, Delhi) respectively.

2017 Porsche 718 Cayman & Boxster

Porsche India has introduced the new 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster in the country. Bookings and deliveries of both cars have already begun across all Porsche dealerships. While the new 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman carries a price tag of Rs 81.63 lakh, the 718 Boxster is priced at 85.53 lakh (all, ex-showroom Delhi).

Ditching the previous generation’s 3.4-litre, 6-cylinder engine, both cars come with a down-sized turbocharged 2-litre, 4-cylinder motor. This powertrain, with a 7-speed automatic PDK gearbox, can hit a top speed of 275kmph. The new Porsches are also capable to achieve 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds. Besides the new turbo engine, the new 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster gets a wider front and side air-intakes and bi-xenon headlamps with integrated four-point LED daytime running lights. The side skirts enhance the aerodynamic performance of the cars. Sitting on a retuned chassis, the new Porsches host a bunch of comfort and
connectivity features.

While the new-gen Cayman gets the Porsche Communication Management system with 8 speaker music system, the 2017 Boxster comes fitted with a 6-speakers unit. Braking  power for both vehicles come from ceramic brakes. Read – Porsche Macan R4 – All You Need To Know

Commenting on the launch of the new 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster, Pavan Shetty, Director Porsche India, said, “The re-launched Cayman and Boxster are the sportiest of all time. It is remarkable how Porsche engineers have evolved the 718 concept to produce such outstanding increases in power and torque from the newly designed four cylinder engine, whilst managing substantial improvements in efficiency.”
