Ditching the 5-spoke alloys, the new CLA comes fitted with multi-spoke alloy wheels similar to the CLA AMG. Towards the rear, there is a revised bumper with an integrated flush.

When it comes to the interior, the 2017 Mercedes CLA facelift hosts a wide range of comfort and connectivity features. What’s new on the saloon are Mercedes’ COMAND system, an 8-inch infotainment system and an updated instrument cluster with read needles. The new upholstery adds a sporty touch to its appearance. However, things remain unchanged under the hood. Power for the 2017 Mercedes CLA facelift continues to come from the same 2.0-litre petrol and 2.1-litre, 4-cylinder diesel motors. The former produces a maximum power of 184bhp with 300Nm, and the latter one delivers power worth 136bhp against 300Nm. For transmitting power to the front wheels is the same 7-speed automatic gearbox. The sedan also gets Mercedes’ Dynamic Select System with a choice of drive modes.

Besides launching the 2017 CLA, the German carmaker has silently updated the performance version of the saloon – the CLA 45 AMG. The Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG gets mild power and torque bump. While the updated version delivers 381bhp of power with 475Nm of torque, the older model was good for 360bhp and 450Nm.
