2017 Hero Glamour 125 receives minor cosmetic and mechanical upgrades.

January 19, 2017 – Hero MotoCorp unveiled the 2017 Glamour motorcycle in Argentina lately which will reportedly launch in India within few weeks. The two-wheeler giant is also looking at expanding its foot print globally by setting up 20 production units in several international markets. As for the 2017 Hero Glamour, it will be sold under the ‘Ignitor’ nameplate in Latin American markets like Peru, Argentina and Colombia.

Coming to the changes, the bike will receive subtle aesthetic updates. It will also undergo minor mechanical change. Expected to come in two variants – Carbureted and Fuel injected, the bike will use the same engine. 2017 Hero Glamour Launch in India

The 2017 Hero Glamour is expected to launch in India within few weeks. Unveiled in Argentina a few days back, the motorcycle will also be available in other global markets. The current model of Glamour is available in two variants namely, Carbutereted and fuel injected, available at Rs 56,665 and Rs 58,655 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. Considering the subtle change likely to be made to the 2017 Glamour, it could undergo slight price bump. Therefore, expect the new Glamour to be launched at Rs 59,000.

Power on the new 2017 Glamour will come from the same 125cc air-cooled, single cylinder, OHC engine with i3 technology that is used in the current version. It is to be noted that Hero MotoCorp may calibrate the engine to deliver increased power and torque. That said the engine will be tuned to make 27% higher power and 6% increased torque as opposed to the current 11.4bhp and 11Nm.

Transmission duties will continue to be carried out by the five-speed gearbox. In terms of performance, the 2017 Hero Glamour will achieve the 0 to 60kmph mark within 5.46 seconds. Besides, it will also come with a torque on demand missing in the current model.

2017 Hero Glamour Mileage

Fuel economy for the 2017 Hero Glamour will be relatively higher than the current model. The i3S start-stop mechanism on the engine puts the engine off when in idle state and re-starts the engine as the clutch is pulled. As per Hero’s claim, the Carburetted variant will witness 3% hike in the fuel economy and the fuel injected variant will deliver 7% increased mileage.

In terms of features, the 2017 Hero Glamour 125 will equip auto headlight on, LED tail lamps, analogue digital speedometer, mileage meters, digital fuel gauge, trip meter and tubeless tyres. In addition, it will also get alloy wheels, electric start, side stand indicator etc.

2017 Hero Glamour Colours

The Carburetter variant will be available in four colour combinations -Candy Blazing Red + Black, Black + Black, Techno Blue + Black, Black + Sports Red and Black + Tornado Grey. On the other hand, the fuel injected variant will be available with all the above colour combinations, save for the Black + Tornado Grey shade.

2017 Hero Glamour Competition

In the 125cc commuter segment, the new 2017 Hero Glamour will go up against other models in the space including the Bajaj Discover 125 and Honda CB Shine.
