Hero MotoCorp has introduced the 2017 Hero Glamour in the Indian two-wheeler market at Rs 59,067 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The new model was revealed in Argentina early this year. The company has already started dispatching the model to dealerships across India. In fact, deliveries of the bike have already begun at select outlets. The new model costs around Rs 2,000 more than its predecessor.
Hero has also updated information about the new Glamour on its official website, although it is yet to make an official announcement. Talking about changes, new Glamour receives cosmetic updates along with minor mechanical tweaks. Like the previous model, the new model is also offered with two variants – Carburetted and Fuel Injected. Powering the motorcycle is a 124.7cc, air-cooled engine that is good for 11.4bhp and 11Nm of torque. In a bid to globalize, Hero is now eyeing setting up 20 production units in various international markets. And 2017 Hero Glamour will be sold in several other countries including Peru, Argentina and Colombia.

However Hero is yet to reveal the official launch date, but dealers have already started taking pre-orders for the bike across India. In fact, the company has already started dispatching the motorcycle to its dealerships. Some of the dealerships have already commenced the deliveries. With the new cosmetic and mechanical tweaks, the bike receive minor price hike. The previous model was priced at Rs 56,665 and Rs 58,665 for carburetted and FI models respectively. The new Glamour is priced at Rs 59,280 for the carburetted drum variant and Rs 61,506 for the carburetted disc variant. The FI version is tagged at Rs 69,908. All the prices are ex-showroom, Mumbai.

The new Glamour is powered by the same 125cc, single-cylinder, OHC engine with i3S technology that powers the previous model. The global model is reportedly gets subtle mechanical updates that increases the power and torque output by 27 per cent and 6 per cent respectively. However, the India-spec model continuous to offer the same 11.4bhp of power and 11Nm of torque. The standard five-speed gearbox is paired to the 125cc unit for transmitting power to the rear wheels. In terms of performance, the engine take just 5.46 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60kmph. Another addition on the updated Glamour also has the torque on demand that is bereft in the current version.
2017 Hero Glamour Mileage
The 2017 Glamour is claimed to return increased fuel economy opposed to the outgoing version. Using Hero’s i3S start-stop mechanism, the engine automatically turns off in idle state and re-starts as soon as the clutch is pulled. With this technology, the new Glamour is claimed to achieve 3% higher mileage for the carburetted version and 7% for the fuel-injected variant. The BSIV compliant model is likely to return around 60kmpl in city and 65-70kmpl on highways.

2017 Hero Glamour Colours
The carburetted variant in the line-up is available with four combinations-Candy Blazing Red+ Black, Black +Black, Techno Blue+ Black, Sports Red and Black and Black + Tornado Grey. While the fuel injected variant comes with all the aforementioned combinations except the Black + Tornado Grey shade.

In the 125cc commuter segment, the new Glamour will face off with the Bajaj Discover 125 and Honda CB Shine.
