India’s most popular motorcycle brand, Bajaj Pulsar is set to receive a revival towards the end of this year. The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar range will include three motorcycles – Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220F. All three models will soon go on sale in the Indian two-wheeler market. The company, however, doesn’t reveal the exact launch date.
Due for the update, the Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 220F will replace their current models. In fact, the Pune-based bikemaker has already begun dispatching the new Pulsars to dealerships across the nation. Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto had confirmed that the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar motorcycles will have more refined engine that will be high on power and fuel efficiency. In his words, “I am very pleased to say that we are going to launch between now and December, the 2017 range of the Pulsar, so significant change there in both their appearance and performance.”

The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar range will receive a few graphics and mechanical updates including a BSIV compliant engine. One must note that the company is yet to reveal the official upgrade details of the bikes. Reports suggest that the 2017 models might come with a new instrument panel, a revised silencer, rear disc brake for P180, a more comfortable seat cushion, etc. For improving design and styling, Bajaj will offer new decals on the bikes.

Since the Indian government has enforced manufacturers to offer Combi-Brake System (CBS) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) as standard on all new two-wheelers launched after April 2017, we can expect the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar bikes to get these two fitments. For the existing two-wheelers, the government has set a deadline up to April 2018. More details on the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar range will be revealed in the following days.
