Dimensionally, the 2017 Audi A3 Cabriolet is 4.42 metres in length, 1.79 metres in width and 1.41 metres in height, and it has a large wheelbase of 2.60 metres. This lifestyle convertible offers a luggage carrying capacity of 60-litres.

The biggest change is made to its mechanics. Instead of the 1.8-litre TFSI petrol engine, the new A3 Cabriolet gets a 1.4-litre TFSI engine. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 150bhp (down from 180bhp) and a peak torque of 250Nm. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a seven-speed S-tronic twin-clutch gearbox. The slower capacity engine returns better efficiency, and is claimed to return a combined mileage of 19.20kmpl.
