Powering the new Range Rover Evoque will be an all-aluminum 2.2-litre Ingenium TD4 turbocharged diesel engine, which is claimed to be 20kgs – 30kgs lighter than the existing one.

Jaguar Land Rover India has rolled out the new Range Rover Evoque at a starting price of Rs. 47.10 (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Available in four trim levels – Pure, SE, HSE and HSE Dynamic – the 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque will compete against the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and others in the league. The company has already received 125 bookings for the vehicle. The new Evqoue comes with 3-years service plan and 3-years of warranty, which are included in its price.

Just so you know, the company had started assembling the SUV from the UK-sourced CKD kits at its Pune facility early this year. The 2016 Range Rover Evoque receives noticeable design updates, and additional features that make it look more premium and sportier than the current model.

On the exterior, the new Evoque features an all-new grille, full-LED Xenon headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, revised bumper with larger air intakes, LED fog lamps, a new pair of alloy wheels, a tail-gate spoiler and new LED taillight detailing. The top-end HSE Dynamic variant also gets a new honeycomb grille.

The interior, too, has been revised with a new infotainment system with an 8-inch InControl touchscreen infotainment system (InControl Plus only on the top-model), a Head-Up display, new seats and door casing and a surround-view camera. While features like 17-speakers, 825 Watts Meridian TM Surround sound system & rear seat entertainment come as optional offerings.  

The India-bound Range Rover Evoque 2016 is powered by an all-aluminum 2.2-litre Ingenium TD4 turbocharged diesel engine that churns out a maximum power of 188bhp and 420Nm of torque. It’s the same engine that does duty to the outgoing model. Though, this powertrain is now claimed to be 20kgs – 30kgs lighter than the existing one. It is capable to achieve 0-100kmph in 7.5 seconds, while maintaining a top speed of 195kmph. Transmission on offer will be a ZF 9-speed automatic, coupled with All-Terrain Progress Control system.
