Priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the 2016 Indian Scout Sixty is positioned below the current Indian Scout model lineup.
The 2016 Indian Scout Sixty is powered by a smaller capacity 999cc, V-Twin, liquid-cooled engine that produces power worth 79bhp against 88.8Nm of torque.
Indian Motorcycles introduced its most affordable offering – Indian Scout Sixty – in India in May 2016. Today, the bikemaker has commenced deliveries of the bike in Chandigarh. One must note that the Scout Sixty will also be made available in other cities later on. Priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Scout Sixty is positioned below the current Indian Scout model lineup.

The Scout Sixty comes fitted with a smaller capacity 999cc, V-Twin, liquid-cooled engine that develops a maximum power of 76bhp, while producing 88.8Nm of peak torque. Offering power to the wheels is a 5-speed manual gearbox. For shocks absorption, the bike gets 120mm telescopic fork and 76mm dual shocks suspension system. It has a single 2-piston front brake and a 1-piston caliper brake at the rear.

Coming to dimensions, the new Indian motorcycle measures 2,311mm in length, 880mm in width and 1,207mm in height. The bike stands high with a ground clearance of 135mm, and offers a seat height of 643mm. It has fuel tank capacity of 12.5-litres. Indian Motorcycles is also offering over 200 customisable additional accessories with the bike that include different handlebars, seats, foot-peg relocators, a windscreen, saddle bags, etc.
Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India, said “I am quite sure that the introduction of the all-new 2016 Indian Scout Sixty in the Indian market will help us grow in terms of volumes in the fast-growing luxury commuter category”.
With an aim to expand its network in India, Indian Motorcycle is planning to open 5 more dealerships by the end of 2016. The next showroom will be inaugurated in Kochi in September, while the other four outlets will be launched in Goa, Pune, Indore and Kolkata before December. Currently, the company has six dealerships situated in Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabd, Hyderabad and Gurgaon.
