Toyota Etios Liva Special Edition Comes With Dual Tone Colours

With the festive season in full-swing, carmakers are trying out all to allure customers. The latest endeavor comes from the Toyota Kirloskar Motor that has launched a new special edition of the Etios Liva hatchback. Based on the ‘V’ trim, the new Toyota Etios Liva is available in both petrol and diesel variants priced at Rs. 5.76 lakh and Rs. 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. Since it’s just a special edition, only 400 units of the vehicle will be sold till December, 2015. The hatchback receives only cosmetic changes and some additional features, but no changes have been made to its powertrain.

On the exterior, the car gets black grille, ORVM (outside rear view mirror) and a rear roof spoiler, What add more to its sporty appeal are 15-inches diamond cut alloy wheels, and first-in-segment dual tone painted contrast roof and pillar. Inside the cabin, the vehicle gets new wood finish interior with dual tone seat fabric. Features like Bluetooth audio, dual front SRS (supplemental restraint system) airbags and pre tensioner and force limiter front seatbelts come as standard equipment. Besides the best in class cabin space and comfort, the car comes with a warranty of 3 years / 100,000kms, whichever comes first.

Powering the Toyota Etios Liva Special Edition is the same 1.2-litre, 16V DOHC petrol and 1.4-litre D-4D diesel engines that do duty to the regular models. While the former produces a maximum power of 78.9bhp and 104Nm of torque, the latter one offers 67.04bhp and 170Nm. Both the engines are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. The petrol mill is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 17.71kmpl, while the diesel mill offers 23.59kmpl.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Akitoshi Takemura, Senior Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt.
