Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota is readying the facelifted versions of the Etios twins in the Brazilian markets. The 2015 Etios has already started reaching the Brazilian showrooms ahead of its official announcement. The refreshed hatch and sedan interiors get comprehensive makeover; however, the exterior styling of the cars remains unchanged.
Inside the cabin, the updated Etios gets new three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel that is directly sourced from the new Corolla saloon. The dashboard now features a full black scheme instead of the grey tone. Moreover, the instrument panel gets new blue accents. Adding to it, the 2015 Toyota Etios features driver seat height adjustable as standard feature.
The updated Etios twins also get one-touch driver side power window, headlamps on warning and new audio system with Bluetooth connectivity and leather seats. The top-of-the line variant is loaded with new multimedia infotainment system that comprises of GPS, DVD, Bluetooth and reverse parking camera. Similar changes are also likely to be offered with the Indian model.
The engine specifications of the 2015 Toyota Etios remains unchanged. The Brazilian hatchback and sedan model gets the same 1.3-litre or a 1.5-litre flex-fuel engine. Power is transmitted to front wheels of the car via a five-speed manual transmission gearbox. Toyota is also planning to launch the new Vios sedan in the Indian car market. The vehicle is scheduled to go on sale in the Indian car market in 2016-17.
