American automaker Ford has unveiled the 2015 Focus ST at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. The facelifted model features redesigned bumpers, a new bonnet with aggressive lines visually flow to meet the A-pillar and newly styled sharp headlights. The new bumper sport restyled fog lights, while the flared wheel arches have been fitted to 18-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the Ford Focus ST is equipped with a flat bottom steering wheel, a redesigned centre console, new switch gears and updated controls for air conditioning. This model features premium upholstery on seats and updated music system.
Under the hood, the Ford Focus ST comes with two engines. The vehicle is powered by a 2.0-litre EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that produces 250PS and 360Nm of top torque. This hatchback accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in just 6.5 seconds, and catches a top speed of 247kmph. It also has new engine start/stop system which makes it more fuel efficient than its predecessor.
The updated Ford Focus ST also gets new 2.0-litre TDCi diesel engine that is capable of developing 185PS and 400Nm of torque. This model takes 8.1 seconds to cross 0-100kmph barrier and hit a top speed of 217kmph. The 2015 Focus ST is equipped with retuned suspension, improved power steering system, an updated torque vectoring control and a new Electronic Transitional Stability function.
