German luxury car manufacturer BMW has officially unveiled the 2015 X6 crossover. The vehicle will go on sale in December and it comes with a sporty exterior as well as elegant interiors. It features an improved aerodynamics while the company has given some additional equipment including bi-xenon headlamps and an automatic tailgate as standard. Its flared wheel arches have been fitted to 19-inch alloy wheels.
The vehicle will also get an M Sport variant which comes equipped with additional features and an aerodynamic kit. It sports a matte aluminum grille and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels. Adding to it, this model gets an upgraded interior, an Adaptive M suspension and a self-leveling rear air suspension.
Inside, the new BMW X6 is equipped with a sport steering wheel, iDrive infotainment system with up to a 10.25-inch display; Dakota leather seats, automatic climate control with separate zone and center console-mounted knee pads. The vehicle has comes with an excellent luggage carrying capacity of 1,515-litres.
The 2015 BMW X6 will be made available with three different engines. The xDrive 50i will get the 4.4-litre TwinPower Turbo V8 engine that develops 450PS and 650Nm of torque. With this engine, the car sprints to 0-100kmph in just 4.8 seconds and catches a top speed of 250kmph. The oil burner, xDrive30d, has a 3.0-litre TwinPower turbo six-cylinder diesel engine that produces 258PS and 560Nm of torque. It does 0-100kmph in 6.7 seconds before hitting a top speed of 230kmph.
The top end model, M50d features a tri-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel engine that develops 381PS and 740Nm of torque. It catches a top speed of 250kmph and accelerates to 100kmph from standstill in just 5.2 seconds.
