We reported earlier that Maruti Suzuki will launch the facelifted version of the Swift and the Swift Dzire in the country. If media reports to believe, the company is expected to launch the Swift facelift in July this year. Now, the updated Swift Dzire has been spotted during its test rounds in the Indian market.
One of the Team-BHP moderators has managed to click the updated Swift Dzire compact sedan in the country. The pictures show that the vehicle gets new grille with chrome finish which is complemented by smoked headlamps. The front fascia also gets newly formulated bumper that accommodates larger fog lamp housings which are lined with chrome. The rear profile of the compact sedan looks identical to the outgoing model. It is expected to feature a keyless entry and engine start/stop system.
The spotted vehicle bears VXi badge. The top spec ZXi variant is likely to feature daytime running lamps. The updated Swift Dzire will get the same engine configurations- a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre Multi-Jet diesel. It is also expected that this model will get AMT (automated manual transmission) gearbox.
