Ford India is all set to launch its much-awaited 2014 Fiesta facelift in the country. According to our sources, the company will introduce the vehicle on 19th of June, 2014. The company has tweaked the exteriors and interiors of the sedan, and is equipped with high end features as well. Interestingly, the Ford Fiesta facelift is claimed to be a highly fuel efficient mid-sized sedan in its league.
The 2014 Ford Fiesta facelift will only be offered with a diesel engine. Under the hood, it gets the 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns out a maximum power output of 89bhp and a peak torque of 204Nm. This engine will be paired to a five-speed manual transmission gearbox. This engine is tuned to return an impressive fuel economy of 25.01kmpl which is quite closer to the one return by the Honda City.
Honda City sedan with its 1.5-litre diesel engine is claimed to return an extra-ordinary fuel economy of 26kmpl, which also makes it country’s most fuel efficient car. Moreover, Nissan will also launch the 2014 Sunny facelift on July 3rd in the country. This model also delivered an impressive fuel economy of 22.7kmpl, which is an increase of around 1kmpl from the previous model. So, it will be quite interesting to see how the Fiesta facelift and the Nissan Sunny facelift compete against the country’s most fuel efficient car- the Honda City.
