Scheduled to go on sale in August, the 2014 Fiat Punto Evo facelift has already reached the dealerships for customer previews. The company has thoroughly modified the hatchback and is equipped with several high end features to counter the growing competition in the premium hatchback segment. The variants detail and specifications of the car have been leaked on the web.
The updated Punto Evo will be offered in seven variants- Active, Dynamic, Emotion and Sport. The sport variant is only limited to performance variant powered by the tried & trusted 1.3-litre multi-jet engine producing 90bhp. The standard diesel model that returns 75bhp of top power is offered in all three variants- Active, Dynamic and Emotion.
On the other hand, the Punto Evo petrol gets two engine options- a 67bhp, 1.2-litre and 90bhp, 1.4-litre engine. The base petrol is available in Active and Emotion trims, while the top-spec 90bhp engine is only offered with emotion trim. The Fiat Punto Evo is offered in seven exciting exterior shades- Glitternti Gold, Magnesio Grey, Exotica Red, Minimal Grey, Hip Hop Black, Vocal White and Tuscan Wine.
Its top-spec model features an all-black interior theme while the standard trims get dual tone interior scheme.When it comes to safety, the top-spec model has Anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, dual airbags and others. The entry level model lacks airbags and ABS; however, it still has decent security measures such as automatic door lock, central door locking, door open indicator, fire prevention system, Immobilizer with rolling code.
