Tata Motors recently released teasers of its two upcoming models, namely, Harrier special edition and Tiago NRG CNG. Details of both models are still under the wraps. The new Tata Harrier special edition teaser hints that it could be an Adventure edition similar to the Safari Adventure Persona variant. The model will have a few cosmetic enhancements over the regular model.

Just so you know, the carmaker recently introduced some features on select Harrier variants including USB Type C ports at the front (standard), enhanced electronic stability program (XZS), electronic parking brake, wireless charger and disc brakes on all four wheels (on ZX+).

The upcoming Tata Harrier special edition could be offered in new colour options. It could be based on the top-end XZA+ variant that offers features such as 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat and auto dimming IRVM. The special edition will continue to come with the same 170bhp, 2.0L diesel engine.

The Tata Tigao NRG CNG is likely to arrive in coming weeks. It will be sold alongside the Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG. The model will come with the 1.2L petrol engine paired to a factory-fitted CNG kit. With a manual gearbox, it delivers a peak power of 72bhp and 95Nm of torque. Similar to the Tiago CNG, it will return fuel economy of 26.49km/kg. The Tata Tiago NRG CNG will cost around Rs 80,000 – Rs 90,000 higher than its standard petrol variants.

The home-grown carmaker has been testing the Harrier and Safari facelifts for a while. Both models are likely to be unveiled at the 2023 Delhi Auto Expo. The 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts are expected to come with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system) along with a 360 degree camera. The SUVs might get a larger infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
