2 Popular Tata SUVs To Get Updates – All Details

Tata Motors is reported to update its two popular SUVs in India, namely, Harrier and Safari. The SUV’s updated models are expected to be showcased at the Delhi Auto Expo that’s slated to begin on 13th January 2023. Noticeable changes will be made to their exterior and interior, while the engine setup might remain intact. The 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts are currently in their final testing phase and caught on camera multiple times.

Slightly Improved Design

The new Harrier will come with a slightly updated front grille, air dam with horizontal slats and integrated radar, newly-designed LED headlamps with LED DRLs. It will also receive a new set of alloys and updated rear bumper, while the LED taillamps will remain same. The 2023 Tata Safari facelift will have an updated front grille with silver finish holes and more circular headlamps with sharper LED DRLs. The carmaker might offer new colour options as well.

High On Features

Major upgrades will be made inside the cabin. The new 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari will be offered with the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), thus making them the first Tata models to offer this advanced tech. The suite will provide safety features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning system, automatic traction control, collision mitigation system, departure warning system, hill start aid and electronic stability control.

Both SUVs might also come with a 360 degree surround view camera. Tata will also update their infotainment system. The spy images reveal that the new Harrier and Safari will have a larger and updated touchscreen info unit that’s likely to support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Same Powertrain

Under the hood, the updated models will feature the same 2.0L diesel engine that makes 170bhp and 350Nm. Both manual and automatic gearboxes will continue to be on offer.

Minor Price Hike Expected

With minor cosmetic changes and feature upgrades, the 2023 Tata Harrier and Safari facelifts are likely to witness a minor price hike. Currently, the former comes within the price range of Rs 14.80 lakh – Rs 22.25 lakh and the latter costs between Rs 15.45 lakh – Rs 23.76 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
