Hero will launch the XPulse 200 Adventure & XPulse 200T Tourer bikes in India in the Q1, 2019.

After conquering the budget segment, Hero MotoCorp is now aiming at the premium quarter-litre motorcycle segment to further strengthen its position. The company is working on a range of new bikes for the entry-level performance bike segment. Hero has officially confirmed that it will launch 2 new 200cc motorcycles in India in the first quarter of 2019.

Hero XPulse 200

This will be the brand’s new adventure motorcycle for the domestic market. Previewed at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, the Hero XPulse is the logical successor of the Impulse 150cc. The adventure motorcycle was first unveiled at the 2017 EICMA. It will be the most affordable adventure bike in India, and is expected to be priced under Rs 1 lakh. It is powered by a 200cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder engine that churns out 18bhp of power and 17Nm of torque. This fuel-injected unit also powers the Hero Xtreme R200 naked bike. The motorcycle gets 190mm long travel and a 10-step adjustable monoshock with 170mm long travel unit at the front and rear axles respectively. Single-channel ABS and dual-purpose tyres will be offered as standard.

Hero XPulse 200T

At the 2018 EICMA Motor Show, Hero had showcased the XPulse 200T premium motorcycle. This motorcycle is branded as ‘Tourer’, and is claimed to offer modern technology in retro styling. Based on the Xtreme R200 platform, the new Tourer is claimed to offer easy and comfortable riding posture. It is equipped with a single-channel ABS, LED head and tail-lamps, digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It is powered by the same 18bhp, 200cc, four-stroke engine that powers the XPulse 200 Adventure bike. The company could tune this engine for better torque.
