The French automaker, Citroen will soon expand its Indian product portfolio with two new models based on the C3 hatchback. One of them will be its electric iteration (eC3) and the other one will be a three-row SUV. While the Citroen eC3 is slated to launch in coming weeks, the new Citroen 7-seater SUV is expected to hit roads in the second half of 2023. Here’re some key details of the upcoming new Citroen cars.

Citroen eC3
Bookings for the Citroen eC3 have already been commenced at Rs 25,000. Once launched, the model will go up against the Tata Tiago EV that’s priced from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh. The eC3 will be made available with Live and Feel variants, packed with a 29.2kWh battery pack and an electric motor (57bhp/143Nm). It accelerates 0 to 60kmph in 6.8 seconds and deliver a top speed of 107kmph. There are two driving modes – Eco and Standard, along with the regenerative braking system. Citroen claims that the eC3 offers an ARAI-certified range of 320km on a full charge. The electric hatchback can be charged with either a 3.3kWh onboard AC or a DC fast charger. More details here…
Citroen 7-seater SUV
The new Citroen 7-seater SUV will compete against the Renault Triber. If reports are to be believed, its production-ready model will be called Citroen C3 Aircross. The three-row SUV will share a strong resemblance with its younger sibling. Though, a few changes will be made to its design including the front grille, bumper and fog lamp assembly. For power, the new SUV might use the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.2L, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engines that power the C3 hatchback. In terms of features, the 7-seater SUV from Citroen will offer a digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the wireless smartphone connectivity, 4 speakers, speed sensitive auto door lock, roof rails, etc. More details here…
