2 New Cars Coming On 20th July – Creta & Punch Rivals

In the coming weeks of July month, we will witness some important car unveilings and launches from Maruti, Hyundai, Mahindra, Citroen and Audi. The new Audi A8 L sedan and the new-generation Hyundai Tucson are slated to hit roads on 12th and 13th July respectively. Mahindra will announce prices of the new Scorpio N automatic variants on 21st July.

There are two big cars coming in on 20th July including Maruti Suzuki’s mid-size SUV and Citroen C3 premium hatchback. While the former will be positioned against the Hyundai Creta, the latter will face challenge from the Tata Punch. Here’s a brief on the upcoming Maruti SUV and Citroen hatch.

New Maruti SUV

New Maruti Suzuki Vitara

The new Maruti SUV, which is reported to be named Vitara, will make its official debut on 20th July 2022. Though, its prices will be revealed in the month of August or September. Interestingly, it will be the first Maruti Suzuki car to come with strong hybrid powertrain.

The SUV will share its platform, features, components and engine with the new Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. In terms of features, the Maruti Vitara will have a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, leather steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, Head-Up Display, a 360 degree camera, ventilated front seats and leather seats. Citroen C3

Citroen C3 Headlight

The new premium hatchback from Citroen will be offered in two trims – Live and Feel. Buyers will have two engine options to choose from – a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol (82PS with 115Nm) and 1.2L turbo petrol (110PS with 190Nm). Its mileage figures will stand at 19.4kmpl for the turbo petrol and 19.8kmpl for the naturally aspirated petrol unit.

The carmaker will offer multiple customisation options and accessories with the Citroen C3. Features such as a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity, steering mounted controls, 4-speaker audio system, two rear fast chargers and front USB charger will be exclusively offered on the top-end Feel trim.
