Kia Seltos has been doing really well for the Korean carmaker in India. The sales figures of the compact SUV are shooting up month after month. In November 2019, Kia Seltos registered its highest ever monthly sales of 14,005 units and maintained the top spot in the list of highest selling SUVs in the country. With such an impressive sales figure, Kia Motors has become India’s 4th largest car brand beating brands like Tata Motors, Toyota and Honda. In its very first month of its arrival (August 2019), the Seltos registered a total sales of 6,236 units. In September and October, the sales figures stood at 7,754 units and 12,854 units respectively.
Currently, the Kia Seltos comes in two trims – Tech Line and GT Line – along with 3 engines and 4 gearbox options. All powertrains meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. The Seltos is also available with a 1.4L turbocharged petrol motor pushing our 140PS, paired to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox. The diesel variants are powered by a 1.5L engine generating power worth 115PS. The oil burner comes with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox options.
