Launched in 2002, the Honda Dio ‘moto-scooter’ has entered into the exclusive million Customers club with a total of sales of 10 lakh units in the Indian market. To celebrate the occasion, Honda Two-Wheelers today launched the new Honda Dio 2016 with a new Matte Axis Grey color scheme and a premium 3D emblem. The new model also comes with latest style upgrades at no additional cost, and continues to be priced at Rs. 48,264 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The company claims that the under the ‘Make in India, For the World’, the Dio is, currently, No.1 export model of Honda. This moto-scooter is exported to South America (Mexico), Latin America (Colombia) and several Asian countries. The new Honda Dio 2016 looks exactly similar to its predecessor, and offers aggressive looks of motorcycle and convenience of a scooter.

The new Honda Dio 2016 continues to be powered by the 109.2cc Air-cooled, 4-stroke, SI engine with Honda’s engine technology – Honda Eco Technology. This power mill delivers a maximum power of 8bhp at 7,000rpm and 8.77Nm at 5,500rpm. The new Dio is now available in a total of 6 color schemes – Matte Axis Grey(new*), Candy Palm Green, Jazzy Blue Metallic, Sports Red and Black.
