  • - Tata Motors had showcases the H5X 5-seater premium SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2018. The vehicle is rumoured to be called the Tata Harrier.

    - The production ready model is scheduled to be unveiled in November 2018, while the launch will take place in the first quarter of 2019.

  • - It will be first Tata model to use brand's new flexible OMEGA platform, which is essentially the modified version of Land Rover LP550 platform.

    - The Tata H5X/Harrier design inspiration comes from Tata's new IMPACT Design 2.0 design language. The production-ready model is claimed to remain true to concept.

  • - This 5-seater premium SUV will be powered by Fiat's 2.0-litre MJD diesel engine that also powers the Jeep Compass. This engine offers two states of tunes - 148bhp and 170bhp. The H5X will come with 148bhp version of 2.0L diesel engine.

  • - For transmission duties, this SUV will get a 9-speed ZF automatic unit and a 6-speed manual unit. The SUV will also get AWD system with Land Rover’s Terrain Response system.

  • - The H5X/Harrier is expected to be priced around Rs 12 lakh - 18 lakh, which makes it a direct rival to the likes of Jeep Compass, Mahindra XUV500 and Hyundai Creta.

  • - In terms of proportions, the Tata H5X/Harrier is 4,575mm in length, 1,950mm in width and 1,686mm in height. It features a large wheelbase of 2,740mm, which ensures spacious cabin.

  • - This model will also get several class-leading safety and security features including multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill hold control and electronic stability program with roll over mitigation.
