    Long wait for the Renault Kwid 1.0L has finally come to an end as the company launched it in the national capital at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.82 lakh. At this price, the Kwid 1 Litre is only 22,000 costlier than the Kwid 0.8-litre model. With a more powerful engine, aggressive price tag and several best-in-class features styling, the Kwid 1000cc is a great value-for-money product.     The Renault Kwid 1.0L is available in two variants - RxT and RxT (O) priced at Rs 3.82 lakh and Rs 3.95 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively. At this price, the Kwid 1000cc is only 22,000 pricier than the RxT 800cc.

    In terms of styling, the Renault Kwid 1.0L SCe looks more or less similar to the Kwid 800cc. Though, it gets new speed-sport designer graphics on the doors and two-tone gloss grey outside rear-view mirrors (ORVMs). The vehicle's cabin too looks similar to the 0.8-litre version, but gets internally adjustable ORVMs and optional driver-side airbag.

    Since there is no change in dimensions, the Renault Kwid 1 Litre continues to offer best-in-class boot space, best-in-class cabin space and 180mm of ground clearance. As a matter of fact, the Kwid is more spacious than many cars that belong to a higher segment.

    The Renault Kwid 1.0L measures 3679mm in length, 1579mm in width, 1478mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2422mm. Similar to the Kwid 0.8-litre, the Kwid 1000cc too sits on 13-inch tyres and offers a fuel tank capacity of 28-litres.

    Some key features on offer with the Renault Kwid 1.0L are - a 7-inch touchscreen media navigation system, digital instrument cluster, remote keyless entry with central locking, front fog lamps, one-touch lane change indicator, etc.

  • Powering the more powerful Renault Kwid is a 1.0-litre SCe, three-cylinder, mill that comes mated to a 5-speed manual. This engine is capable of churning out a 64bhp at 5500rpm and 91Nm at 4250rpm. Thanks to its light weight, the Kwid 1000cc offers better power-to-weight ratio than the Maruti Swift which is a segment higher product.
