While humans start wrinkling as they age, it is the other way around with cars, well at-least with some of them. Maruti Suzuki India’s flagship hatchback Swift, the case in point here, is a little over 12 years old (Indian model). First launched in 2005, the hatchback was seen in Abhishek-Rani’s rom-com (with a splash of drama), Bunty & Bubbly. A lot has changed since then and the car is now heading for a generation leap. While there is still some time for the launch of the third-generation Swift, we bring you a modified Swift that is probably the most insane custom Swift ever. Here is a compilation of some images of the customized Swift, have a look.
This customized Swift belongs to Steven Raju from Kochi. Interestingly, this custom Swift not only gets additional elements, but it has a name too that suits its mean looks. Dubbed ‘The Punisher’, it features an array of modifications.
Most of the changes are done up front with the new grille and a tooth-like extension transforming the look entirely. The dual-tone hood gets splash of black and grey. Additionally, the sheet metal has also been revamped for a beefier look.
Other changes made to the face include a new black grille with tweaked design and new elements. The smoked headlamps get infused LED daytime running lights, L shaped carbon fibre slats and an aggressively styled bumper
It looks neat from side, riding on the 7-spoke, 17-inch custom alloy wheels, it gets additional elements such as air-inlets on the rear fenders and flared wheel arches. The new custom alloys are wrapped with 215mm Yokohama A-Drive tyres.
With these changes, the car looks sportier and chic from side. Save for the new alloys, air-inlets and pronounced arches, it retains most of the styling elements from the standard model. Just like the front profile, the rear end of Swift Punisher receives a host of new styling bits. One of the notable changes at the back is the prominent roof spoiler atop.
In addition, the rear profile sports custom taillamps with LED units, large diffuser and twin round exhausts. With these changes, the hatchback looks radically different from the standard model.
Insides of the custom Swift also receive new bits, albeit changes made to the interior are not very prominent, the Punisher gets Pioneer X5890BT console and Rockford subwoofer.
Power on the Swift Punisher comes from the 1.3-litre Multijet oil burner that has been tuned to dish out increased power of 115bhp and 240Nm of torque. While transmission duties are handled by the 5-speed manual unit.
Compared to the regular model, it offers 40bhp more power and 50Nm increased torque. Wrapped up with new exterior elements, the Swift Punisher is way sportier and meaner than the regular model.
