The Hyundai Grand i10 hatchback has turned 3 year old, and is ready for a makeover to keep things fresh in the market. Launched on September 3, 2013, the B-segment hatchback has been giving a tough competition to the best selling Maruti Suzuki Swift hatch. The Grand i10 facelift will get slightly revised exterior and interior, and is expected to be launched in India soon.
Exterior Changes - The updated i10 comes with minor cosmetic changes. Upfront is a redesigned grille, round-shaped LED daytime running lamps and new boomerang-shaped foglamp enclosures. On sides, the hatchback gets revised side mouldings, new 14-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the small car gets a re-styled bumper that accommodates a pair of round reflectors.
Interior Changes - It comes with slight changes in terms of upholstery and trim colors. The European spec model also gets new features like a 7-inch touchscreen display with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, lane departure warning and front collision warning.
India Launch - The vehicle is currently on testing phase. It is expected that the Hyundai Grand i10 facelift will be launched towards the end of this year or early 2017.
Engine Specs - The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 will continue to use the current 1.2-litre 4-cylinder VTVT petrol and 1.1-litre U2 CRDi diesel engines from the existing car. While the former is good for 81bhp of power and 114Nm of torque, the oil burner is good for 70bhp and 160Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and 4-speed AT.
