Japanese automaker, Honda is planning to launch its global HRV SUV in the Indian market. This SUV will rival the Hyundai Creta, Renault Captur and Jeep Compass.
It is based on Jazz platform, so local production of the SUV won't be a big challenge for the brand.
The SUV will be offered with two engine options - 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel and a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine.
While the diesel engine is capable of producing 118bhp and 320Nm, the petrol engine is good for 118bhp and 145Nm of torque.
For transmission duties, the SUV will get a six-speed manual and a CVT automatic gearbox.
The Honda HR-V comes with aggressive look and robust front profile and new elements. The facelifted model sports Honda's latest design language.
The SUV comes with bigger grille, LED DRLs, new contoured front bumper, alloy wheels, LED tail-lights and roof-mounted spoiler.
Inside the cabin, the SUV gets Honda's newest infotainment system that is compatible with satellite navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
