The Italian high-performance bikemaker, Ducati has finally launched the Ducati XDiavel in the Indian two-wheeler market. The bike is available in two versions - the standard and XDiavel S. While the former is priced at Rs 15.8 lakh, the later is tagged at Rs 18.4 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new bikes comes with Ducati's Testastretta DVT engine with riding modes.
Dimensions (including seat height, rake and wheelbase) of the XDiavel, XDiavel S not only underline their cruiser traits, but enhance their handling and balance as well. The seat height and wheelbase of the bikes stand at 1,615mm and 755mm respectively. The kerb weight of the cruisers measure 247kgs.
The new XDiavel is powered by Ducati's Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) 1,262cc engine that is capable of producing 156bhp of power and 128Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed transmission. With the power and torque is available in at low RPMs, the bike offers a solid mid-range. This engine has Sport, Touring and Urban riding modes and also has ride-by-wire throttle.
The new Ducati bikes feature a full ride-by-wire system that enables rider to select riding modes as per requirements. Features like DPL (Ducati Power Launch), Ducati Safety Pack (Bosch cornering ABS + DTC), backlit handlebar switches, hands-free and cruise control are also on offer.
The XDiavel S version, additionally, gets full LED lighting with daytime running lights, infotainment system, a Bluetooth module and machined finish on mirrors, engine belt cover and alloy wheels. On the tank, the S version gets an exclusive black polish with black opaque band and read stripe at its centre.
The standard XDiavel comes equipped with Brembo M4-32 calipers at the front axle, while the S version gets Brembo M50 calipers. Ducati also offers special accessories with both the cruisers such as Titanium exhaust systems, comfort seats, etc.
