If your run is about 150Kms, you should definitely get a diesel version. And Etios, being a low-maintenance car, should fit your requirements.

In terms of safety, the Toyota Etios is the highest rated car of all. Though with features such as dual airbags and ABS, the Zest and the Dzire too are quite safe. In terms of performance – the Zest has an upper hand over others. While in terms of fuel efficiency and maintenance cost, the Dzire is the best bet.

I intend to buy Renault Duster. But unable to decide whether to go for Petrol or Diesel (particularly in the backdrop of Diesel vehicles ban recently in Delhi and Kerala).
I also have the option to go for Honda City (Sedan, if not Duster). Confused between these two choices. Can you advise pl?

The ban in Delhi and other parts of the country is for diesel cars above 2000cc, so it’s not going to affect the Duster. Both the petrol and diesel versions of the Duster are decent to drive and are capable to handle almost all sorts of regular roads. Between the Duster and the City, you can buy either of them. However, the City is much easier to maintain than the Duster due to high cost of ownership involved with the latter.

The best bet would be the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz SHVS diesel hybrid. It’s really low on maintenance and the most fuel-efficient car in its category.

If the fuel-efficiency and comfort are your priority, the Maruti Ciaz would fit your requirement. If you need more power, the City could be the best pick.

From the current lot, you can buy the Creta’s top-end variant. It’s comfortable, easy to drive, decent in power, feature-rich and easier to maintain. Or you can also wait for the Hyundai Tucson which will launch by early 2017 at an expected price of Rs 17 lakh – 20 Lakh.

Honda City diesel, for sure, is the noisiest car in its category. The Ciaz, on the other hand, feels quite calm.

      Hi

We suggest you to go for Maruti Suzuki Ciaz or Honda City sedan. Both models offer high fuel efficiency; however, City is more powerful than the Ciaz sedan.
