Here’s a good news for the Mahindra Scorpio lovers! The Mahindra Scorpio pre-facelift (2017 model year) is now available with a heavy discount of Rs 1.1 lakh. Just you know, the facelited version of the SUV was launched in November, 2017. While design updates were minor, it came with a more powerful mHawk diesel engine. Currently, the updated version of the Scorpio is available in the price range of Rs 9.99 lakh – Rs 16.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Dealers are still left out with inventory of the pre-facelift Scorpio, and aiming to clear the stock they are offering huge discounts. Well, it’s really an attractive deal since the facelifted model is almost similar to the old one be it in terms of looks or features. However, the new Scorpio comes with 20bhp more powerful engine and a new 6-speed manual gearbox. One must note that the more powerful motor is available only on the top-spec trim and other trims are available with the same old 120bhp diesel unit. If you opt for the new, more powerful Scorpio, it will cost you equal to the Tata Hexa (XT 4X2 trim) that is a more premium and better product than the former. While the old model has Mahindra’s signature grille, the updated one gets a revised unit that seems inspired by Jeep. Other minor changes include new front bumper, newly-designed alloys, revised taillamps and revised tailgate.
