It’s no secret that Mahindra & Mahindra is working on the new-generation Bolero SUV. The all-new Mahindra Bolero might make its first public appearance at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo, followed by its launch in the first quarter of the next year. While its launch is months away, a digital rendering shows its possible and very predictable design.
The rendered 2020 Mahindra Bolero retains the upright and boxy stance from the current model. Though, the design bits such as new LED headlamps with dual-chamber division, LED DRLs (daytime running lights) and new front grille with a brushed aluminum effect metal bar on the signature badge. In terms of safety, the 2020 Mahindra Bolero will be much better than the existing one. The all-new model will meet the BNSVAP (Bharat New Vehicle Safety Assessment Program) norms with safety features such as dual airbags (driver and co-driver), ABS (anti-lock braking system), driver and co-driver seat belt reminders, speed alert system, vehicle reverse parking sensors and manual override for the central locking system. Based on the GEN3 platform, the 2020 Mahindra Bolero will feature a new, BS6-compliant 2.0L turbocharged diesel engine pushing out power worth 140bhp. Delivering power to the rear wheels will be a 6-speed manual gearbox. Aiming to enhance comfort and drivability of the SUV, the carmaker will also update its suspension system.
