Renault Kwid is available only with a petrol engine with a choice between manual and AMT transmission. The carline also includes heavily accessorized variants and a larger capacity 1.0-litre engine option. While the base trim in the line-up is priced at Rs 2.62 lakh, the top-spec variant is available at Rs 4.49 lakh.

Maruti Suzuki Alto on the other hand comes in petrol and CNG variants in manual option. The STD variant is priced at Rs 2.62 lakh, and the CNG LXI (O) trim is offered at Rs 3.72 lakh.

Built on Renault-Nissan’s CF-A platform, Kwid is undoubtedly the best-looking car in the segment. Up front, it features dual-slat grille, swooping headlamps, black finished manually operated ORVMs etc. The lower bumper houses fog lamps and black plastic cladding on side along with 13-inch wheels inject crossover-ish flair.
