Maruti Baleno vs Maruti Swift – Styling

The new Maruti Baleno is built on Suzuki’s all-new platform, and looks more premium than the Swift hatch. The vehicle gets the S-Cross inspired twin-slat front grille with prominent V-shaped chrome surround at the bottom, wide air-intake, sloping roofline and sporty rear design. While the projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps and 16-inches alloy wheels are offered only on the top-end variant of the hatchback.

The new-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift is built on the Suzuki’s new generation Heartect platform that also underpins the Dzire and Baleno. It is equipped with a newly developed honeycomb grille, sweptback headlamps, revised bumper, newly developed fog lamp and large air-dam. The side profile gets newly styled 15-inch alloys, body coloured door handles and electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. The rear profile, too, looks refreshing and gives it a tall boy hatch stance.

The Baleno hatchback offers a spacious cabin, thanks to its 2,520mm wheelbase. There is an ample legroom and headroom for both front and rear occupants. The Baleno is the first car its segment to feature a 7-inch SmartPlay infotainment system with Apple CarPlay. It also gets a LCD display on instrument panel, navigation system, leather upholstery, Bluetooth, automatic climate control, automatic day/night internal mirror, TFT colour screen MID and rear AC vents. In terms of safety, the car offers dual SRS airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), reverse parking camera and sensors as standard fitment.

Similar to Baleno, the new Swift comes with better equipped cabin. Talking about features, the hatchback is equipped with new fabric upholstery, power windows, adjustable headrest and 60:40 split rear seats, multi-functional steering wheel, 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, keyless entry with push button start and reverse parking sensors. The top-end variant of the Swift comes with rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD and dual SRS airbags safety features.
