Mahindra KUV100 Vs Hyundai Grand i10 – Engine & Transmission

Powering the Mahindra’s mini SUV is an all-new mFalcon engine lineup – a 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 petrol and a 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel – that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. While the former is claimed to offer 82bhp of power at 5,500rpm with 114Nm of torque at 3,500rpm, the latter is good for 77bhp at 3,750rpm and 190Nm at 1,750rpm – 2,250rpm. This mini SUV comes with the 2WD drivetrain system. Mahindra claims that the KUV100, with all-new mFalcon engines, returns fuel efficiency of 18.23kmpl (petrol) and 25.32kmpl (diesel). This also makes the KUV100 diesel the most frugal SUV of the country.

The Hyundai Grand i10 is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version is powered by a 1.2-litre KappaVVT engine that churns out a maximum power of 82bhp at 6,000rpm and 114Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm.
