After completing over two decades in the Indian market, Hyundai remains one of the top grossing car giants after Maruti Suzuki India. With a good mix of products, Hyundai not only garners good sales on domestic front but is a leading exporter, shipping large number of cars annually from its manufacturing unit in India. Considering that around 13% of its global sales come solely from India, Hyundai has planned a string of launches for domestic market. Following the launch of its hatchback twin, Grand i10, Hyundai’s subcompact sedan Xcent will receive new updates. Changes made to the sedan will largely be cosmetic and there will be a new diesel engine. As for the styling updates, Xcent will receive new hexagonal grille, revised bumper, redesigned headlamps and fog lamps. Round the back, it will sport new bumper, boot lid and new tail-lamps. Updates to the cabin will include new in-cabin equipment such as a 7-inch touchscreen display with navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, new seat covers among others. Mechanically, it will retain the 1.2-litre Kappa VTVT petrol engine, while the current 1.1-litre CRDi powertrain will be replaced with the new 1.2-litre three cylinder unit.
