Besides, the company is also set to upgrade its existing line-up to claim for a large share in the exponentially growing Indian car market. The Japanese automaker is planning to re-introduce Civic brand. Furthermore, diesel powered new generation CRV is also making its way to India. For all those, who are planning to buy a Honda as their next car, here’s is a list of upcoming Honda cars in India in the next 2 years.

New Upcoming Honda Cars In India

1. Honda Jazz Facelift

The updated Jazz is among several other new upcoming Honda cars in India that will be launched in the country this year. Despite segment best in its league, the previous generation Jazz failed to live up to the company’s expectations. The vehicle was eventually phased out and the reason behind the failure is its overpricing. Despite price cuts and other attempts, the Jazz could not turn out to be a good seller. Fast forward to 2015 and Honda re-launched the car in India with sportier looks and a new diesel engine that lacked earlier. After initial success, the vehicle’s sales saw a regular dip and failed to withstand competition in the segment.

Now, Honda Cars India is planning to give Jazz a facelift with minimal tinkering on the design front. While it will receive styling updates on the inside and out, the company will work to reduce NVH levels on the diesel engine. Besides, it will be more feature rich sporting new upholstery, new 7.0-inch DigiPad touchscreen infotainment system from City etc. The vehicle is already on sale in the Japanese market, where it is equipped with several high-end safety features like pedestrian collision mitigation steering system, lane keeping assist system and adaptive cruise control. Having said that, there will no changes under the hood and in transmission options. Know More

Honda Cars India Ltd is planning to pluck a new model from its global portfolio for the Indian market, christened HR-V, and is our favourite among all upcoming Honda cars in India. The Japanese automaker will produce this SUV at its Tapukara production plant, where Jazz & City have also been developed. The company could tweak this SUV for the Indian roads. This five-seater premium SUV will compete with Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass and the upcoming Toyota CHR. Currently, Honda sells the BRV SUV that failed to gain traction. With HR-V, Honda is looking at generating volumes in the highly competitive segment that currently offers some credible models.

As for the engine line-up, the India-spec HR-V is likely to use the 118bhp, 1.5-litre i-VTEC and the 118bhp, 1.6-litre i-DTEC that is expected to power upcoming CR-V and Civic sedan. Transmission options for the SUV will include a six-speed manual and a CVT automatic unit. Know More

The sedan is packed with a raft of comfort, connectivity and safety goodies.

It is expected that the next generation Civic will be offered with the diesel engine for the first time in the country. The vehicle could use a 1.6-litre, i-DTEC oil burner that is good for 118bhp and 300Nm of torque. Launch this HRV Honda car as early as possible in India. why you people are launching useless models like BRV and WRV.
You people know already that your useless car BRV failed in market.
Now you should think about the best competitor to Hyundai creta,Maruti S-Cross but not competitor to Hyundai i10grand and Maruti Celerio.
