Honda has made clear that it will refrain from exploring sub-5 lakh segment in India. With this, the company has cleared its motive to focus on the premium line-up. In the current year, Honda rolled out Jazz based WR-V that takes on the likes of sub-four meter SUVs and hatchback based crossovers due its price positioning and cosmetic resemblance to the latter. As we move forward in the fiscal year, expect roll-out of some more Honda models including facelifts, new models and new-gen iterations. 1. Honda Jazz Facelift
Honda withdrew Jazz’s production few years ago owing to dud sales. The nameplate however made a comeback in 2015 with improved looks, more feature packed cabin and a new diesel engine. Two years after the brand returned to domestic market, Honda is working on a facelift version that is likely to take design cues from new Honda City. Among the new changes, a slightly modified rear and new tail-lamps at rear are likely to be included. Features such as a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink compatibility will packed inside. The engine set up will be retained with the same 99bhp, 1.5-litre oil burner and 87bhp, 1.2-litre unit powering the carline. These engines will be offered with 5-speed and 6-speed manuals and an optional CVT.
