There has been a shift in preference lately as bike enthusiasts look for high-displacing sports bike that offers great performance. While affordability remains the most important component, the new-age customer is also giving prominence to other aspects such as power, equipment and styling. The Indian based two-wheeler giant, Hero MotoCorp will bring forth its global model, Extreme 200S to the domestic market in the first half of 2017. Unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo, the production for the upcoming bike has already started at company’s manufacturing unit based in Jaipur. Sporting ’Cheetah’ inspired design, new styling elements and improved ergonomics, the naked streetfighter is primarily a more powerful version of the Xtreme 150. Power on the prowess will be sourced from the 200cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder air-cooled engine putting out 18.5bhp of power and 17.2Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be handled by either a 6-speed unit of a 5-speed gearbox. The suspension set up on the bike will include telescopic forks at front and monoshock absorbers at rear. Braking force on the other hand will come from disc units at front and rear. Besides, there will be a single-channel ABS to add further dint to the stopping power. Digging deep into the styling, the naked streetfighter is built on the diamond type chassis and gets an aggressive look. In front, it packs mono halogen headlamp with twin LED pilot lights and LED tail-lamps at rear. Other styling bits like the analog digital instrument console, dual-tone seat, air-vents on front cowl, belly-pan and tank-shroud enhance the visual appearance.
